About The Teacher

Aloha! My name is Corinna Gandara and I am so happy to have your child in my class!!  I live with my 2 daughters 12 and 14 here on the North Shore and love working at Sunset Beach.

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and moved away when I was 23.  I taught in Arizona for 4 years, moved to San Francisco and taught there for 7 years until I had my first daughter.  We then moved here to Hawaii to take some time off and decided to stay.

I have been teaching here at Sunset for 12 years, but I have taught 2nd for 19 years!
I love 2nd grade and look forward each year to all of the fun and growth that I see at
this great age.
